Service Description

In this all-levels movement class, we will connect with our desire to move and be moved using task-based prompts to warm up our bodies and uncover new and unexpected pathways of movement. Guided by awareness and deep listening, we’ll explore dualities such as delicacy and fierceness, playfulness and seriousness, the seen and the unseen. The class is influenced by many different movement modalities such as Gaga technique, Ilan Lev–inspired approaches to movement and sensing, and workshops and classes Schmuhl has taken with artists including Bobbi Smith, Shamel Pitts, Annie Rigley, and others. No athletic or performance training is necessary. Mirrors will be covered so you can tune in more deeply to your own experience.
